Today comes a very surprising news from India's Flipkart and Finland's Nokia. The two companies have partnered to bring Nokia branded Smart TV's to the fast growing Indian television market.
The TV's haven't been launched yet and this is just an announcement of the partnership between the brands. The announcement also reveals that the Nokia Branded Smart TV's will feature superior audio quality powered by JBL. All other features, specs, design and pricing options will be shared at the time of launch.
Commenting on the partnership, Vipul Mehrotra, Vice President, Nokia Brand Partnerships said, "We are delighted that Flipkart, the leading e-commerce company in the country, will bring the first-ever Nokia branded Smart TVs to India. The Smart TV's will be made and sold in India exclusively by Flipkart under the Nokia brand. Do note that this partnership is between Nokia and Flipkart and has nothing to do with HMD Global which makes Nokia branded smartphones.
