Nokia 2.2 starts receiving Android 11 update

Here's a piece of good news for Nokia 2.2 users. Nokia Mobile has just rolled out the Android 11 update for the Nokia 2.2. The update as always is rolled out in waves for a smooth rollout and the Wave 1 includes a total of 24 countries where the update is currently rolling out.

This time Nokia Mobile has also specified the names of telecom operators in some markets which have approved the rollout of the Android 11 update. So, if you are from one of those markets and use that particular network on your Nokia 2.2 then you will receive the update notification pretty soon. Others in the same markets will have to wait for Wave 2 rollout which should normally begin in a couple of weeks after the Wave 1 rollout is complete.

All the Approved markets included in the Wave 1 update rollout are as follow:

Cambodia, Czech Republic (T-Mobile Czech Republic), Greece (Cosmote), Hungary (Magyar Telekom), Indonesia, Laos, Macedonia (Monet, T-Mobile), Malaysia, Montenegro (Crnogorski Telekom), Myanmar, Philippines, Poland (T-Mobile Polska/Heyah), Romania (Telekom Romania), Slovakia (Slovak Telekom), Thailand, Vietnam, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.

It is to be noted that only 10% of these approved markets will receive the update today, 50% of the approved markets will receive the update by 15th April and all the remaining approved markets will get the update on 17th April.

After a bit of delay, it is good to see Nokia Mobile is now picking up speed in releasing the Android 11 update for its smartphones and we expect more smartphones to be updated to the latest Android version in the coming days.

Did you get Android 11 on your Nokia 2.2?
