Android 11 rolling out for the Nokia 8.3 5G

The wait for Android 11 is finally over for the Nokia 8.3 5G owners as Nokia Mobile has started rolling out the latest Android edition for the device.  The update is being rolled out in phases for a smooth rollout and the first wave includes 27 approved markets.

Android 11 will bring improved conversations management, a new way to chat while multitasking by pinning chats on the screen, giving permissions to apps that use Mic, camera or location just once which automatically reset after use. The update also includes the January 2021 Android security patch.

For the smooth rollout, the update is being rolled out in waves and the 1st wave includes a total of 27 approved markets where the update has already started rolling out. Out of these approved markets, 10% will receive the update immediately, 50% by Feb 5th, and on Feb 7th, 100% of these approved markets will have received the Android 11 update. Below is the full list of 27 Approved markets included in Wave 1:

Bahrain, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Iceland, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania. Macau, Morocco, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Tunisia, UAE, USA and Vietnam

If your market is not on this list then you will have to wait for Wave 2 rollout to begin which could take around 2 weeks depending on the market approvals.
