After rolling out the latest security patch for the Nokia 2 running on Android Oreo early today, Nokia Mobile has also rolled out the August 2019 Android Security patch for their first flagship Nokia 8. The update is small at 86 MB in size and just brings the security patch.
Nokia Mobile has promised of providing quarterly security patches to Nokia 8 for one more year till 2020 starting from October this year.

Updates are released in phases so it might take some time to reach different markets. If you haven't received the update you can also manually check for the same by going to Settings > System > System updates.
