Nokia 2 users are having trouble requesting the optional Android Oreo build from the past few weeks and Nokia Mobile has finally responded to the situation. The official webpage to request the Android Oreo build for Nokia 2 has been updated with a post informing Nokia 2 users about the situation in detail.
As per the post, After the July Security patch, Nokia 2 users on Nougat aren't able to receive the Android Oreo build due to the difference in build timestamps. Hence, the build has been removed from the website. They are working on fixing this and after the internal testing is complete the web link to request the OTA will be activated again.
This is a piece of good news for all Nokia 2 users who downgraded to Android Nougat and weren't able to request the OTA to go back to the Android Oreo build. We will update this post once the OTA link goes live. Stay tuned. :)
