Nokia TA-1109 / 5.1 plus passes TENAA revealing most of its specifications

Nokia 5.1 plus renders were leaked recently, and we saw Nokia TA-1109 pass Bluetooth certification, which we doubted to be the Nokia 5.1 plus. It turns out that TA-1109 is indeed the Nokia 5.1 plus. Today, TA-1109 has passed the TENAA certification in China and most of the specs match the previous leaks. The certification doesn't reveal the name or image of the device. It might end up being Nokia X5 or Nokia 5.1 plus.

Nokia TA-1109 on TENAA certification

This TENAA certification confirms that it will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, as it is the one with 2.0 GHz frequency and Bluetooth 4.2 support.

Nokia Mobile themselves have (accidentally or intentionally) given us a glimpse of the notch on the Nokia 5.1 plus. Recently Nokia rolled out an update to hide the notch on the Nokia X6. But the demonstrated image has a wider notch than the X6. So, we suspect it to be the notch on the Nokia 5.1 plus. Take a look at the image:

We expect that 5.1 plus will also have the option to "hide the notch". Given that it has an HD+ screen and Bluetooth 4.2, we can expect it to be priced lower than Nokia X6. But still, it packs a powerful MTK P60 SoC with ARM Cortex-A73 cores.

We have no information regarding the availability of the device. It might be a China exclusive, like the Nokia X6 or might be launched for the global market. We can only hope at least this phone makes its way to the rest of the world.
