Nokia branded Wireless Earphones and Headphones launched

Nokia offers several licensing options and Brand licensing is one of them which can help Nokia brand stay in the consumer market. Nokia has licensed its brand name exclusively to HMD Global for Nokia phones and tablets and we now also have Nokia branded TVs in India which is also possible because of a brand licensing deal between Flipkart and Nokia. Now, with a new brand licensing deal the Nokia brand will also be visible in the consumer audio segment.

Shenzen based RichGo Technolgy is the new licensee of Nokia brand and has announced three new wireless audio accessories which are Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones (E3200), Nokia Essential Wireless Headphones (E1200), Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones (E3500). The products are listed on the official Nokia website as coming soon and no pricing info is mentioned at the moment.

The names of these can be confused with that of Nokia earphones from HMD Global although the model numbers are different. Also, I feel there could/will be confusion for support and service as well.

RichGo Technology's website says the accessories will be available in China and the Asia Pacific. Nokia's brand licensing page says Nokia will offer design support
to deliver products that are up to Nokia's standard and also provide support and guidance to reduce the product's time to market. So this means Nokia may have some control over these products.

What are your thoughts about this new licensing deal and the products that came out of it? Share them in the comments below. :)
