Nokia 5.1 plus users have got a big Christmas surprise as Nokia Mobile has officially rolled out the Android Pie update for Nokia 5.1 plus. This makes Nokia 5.1 plus the 6th globally available Nokia smartphone to be officially upgraded to Android 9 Pie.
The update brings a lot of new Android Pie features such as gesture-based navigation, adaptive battery, etc along with the option to hide the notch and the new camera UI which now comes with Pro Mode.

As you can see in the screenshot the update is 1214.4MB in size and you will receive the notification once it is available for your device. Do note that major updates are rolled out in phases so it won't be available in all markets at the same time. The update has started rolling out in India and you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System Updates.
With the latest updates for Nokia 5.1 plus and Nokia 6.1 plus, Nokia Mobile has added the Pro Camera mode to these devices due to popular demand. Both these phones do not come with ZEISS optics so we expect the Pro Camera mode will be rolled out to other Nokia smartphones as well that support camera 2 API.
