Nokia TA-1136 passes FCC. Could be a new budget Nokia smartphone

Nokia TA-1136 which was recently spotted at the Bluetooth SIG has also cleared the FCC Certification process and the test data reveals some interesting information.

When TA-1136 appeared in the Bluetooth database we assumed it to be a Mid-range Nokia smartphone but the FCC test data has to say a different story. The label information of the Nokia TA-1136 reveals that this Nokia smartphone will come with 1GB Ram and 16GB of internal storage which means it should be a new low-end Nokia smartphone. The image on the label also shows a Nokia 2.1 like device and some FCC documents also say that this phone will be identical to the Nokia 2.1.

Another, letter by HMD Global to FCC clearly mentions that the label location will be below the battery and users will be able to see the label when they insert the battery in the phone  This suggests that the phone could come with a removable battery. Nokia 1 is the only Nokia smartphone that comes with a removable battery and all other smartphones in the lineup come with a sealed battery.

This is a low-end Nokia smartphone for sure and could either be the Nokia 1.1 or the Nokia 2.2 which will be launched in the coming months. Nokia Mobile is holding a launch event in Dubai on 5th December but I doubt a low-end smartphone will be announced at this event. We will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out. :)
