After a pause in releasing source codes of Nokia smartphones, HMD Global has released the source code of the Nokia 2. Every company has to release parts of kernel source codes to comply with the General Public License and Limited General Public Licenses.
This release by HMD global includes source codes for both Nougat and Oreo. Nokia2_V1.16D is the Oreo release and Nokia2_V0.68I.tar.bz2 is Nougat.
There are still a few Nokia smartphone like the Nokia 3.1 Plus, Nokia 5, and the newly launched Nokia 3.2, 4.2 and the Nokia 9 PureView whose source codes are yet to be released.
