July Security update rolling out for Nokia 7 plus users stuck on April security patch after downgrading to Android Oreo
After using Android P Developer Preview some Nokia 7 plus owners rolled back to the Official Android Oreo. The users that rolled back to the official Oreo build were stuck on the April Android security update and Nokia Mobile was aware of this situation and was working to fix it as soon as possible.
Nokia Mobile has fixed the issue and has started rolling out the latest July Android Security update for the Nokia 7 plus units that were still stuck on April patch after the rollback and users in India have started receiving the update.
The update is quite large at 441.7MB in size and as per the changelog, this update includes stability and user interface enhancements. The changelog doesn't mention the July Security patch but it is included in this update and below are the screenshots.
You will be notified once the update is available for your device. If you haven't received the update notification you can also manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System update. Do note that updates are rolled out in phases and can take some time to reach all devices.
